It's been some time since I last shared here, and while I can't predict when I'll return regularly, I've chosen to offer a deeper glimpse into my personal journey for now.
A few years back, I made a bold decision to take on a role outside of the US, granting me the logistical freedom to live wherever I desired. This newfound freedom allowed me to view the world through a different lens, far removed from the narratives I'd been fed.
During this time, I discovered that I had unwittingly become a victim of disinformation. The media painted various places as dangerous, even issuing alerts for American citizens traveling abroad. However, my experiences contradicted these portrayals. I encountered warmth, hospitality, and a sense of safety that often eluded me in what were deemed "safe" corners of the US. Living in a society where one's skin color is weaponized takes a significant toll on the psyche. Yet, despite the weight of this burden, I found solace in communities where such prejudices didn't define interactions.
Venturing into diverse cultures, I unearthed profound truths about myself and others. I embraced discussions on differences with respect and openness, forging connections that transcended societal divides. It was a revelation, and I found myself enamored with this newfound sense of harmony.
Stay tuned for more intimate reflections on my journey. Your patience and support mean the world to me.
