Why do I travel?

I wanted a deeper experience and deeper connections.

Where I’m writing from today! Tribal in Canggu, Bali, Indonesia, a co-working, co-living space overlooking the amazing pool.

Why!?

I noticed my friends jumping from here to there on planes. I was jealous. Well, not jealous but curious. I wanted to know how. 

Backstory…

I’d occasionally grab a flight to someplace within the states alone but never not outside of the country. That wasn’t enough for me. I wanted a more visceral world exposure. Something that would impact, educate and implore me. I was looking for an education outside of myself and my environment. I wanted to know the languages of the world and how to communicate universally.

The deeper meaning…

I knew that this would not be an option within my very predictable lifestyle and country. I also wanted to know that there was more outside of me and inside of me than met the eyes, heart, mind, and soul.

I wanted a deeper experience and deeper connections.

So I set out to travel!

Since I began this journey I’ve come alive in ways in which I would’ve never known or expected. I’ve learned different ways of thinking and doing. I learned more and more about how to trust myself. I’m frequently asked why I travel so much and this is my Why.

I know that this blog is about budgeting and travel but I’d like you to get to know the person behind the content and travel. I know I could’ve used the about me space to write it there… But hey? Why not here and now.
